Another day, another article speculating about the future of Tottenham Hotspur’s Gareth Bale. The transfer window shut but yet this nonsense goes on instead on concentrating on the events on the pitch.
The culprit this time is Goal.com, who even quote an unnamed source saying, “Whatever happens Gareth will not sign another Tottenham contract,”
The website also mentions interest from Manchester City and Real Madrid, as well as much mentioned Barcelona. They also say that a bid above £40 million would land the winger.
Bale’s contract expires in 2015, three-and-a-half years from now. So much can happen in that time – one bad injury and things change very quickly – but let’s hope for continued success for Gareth and Spurs.
