Harry Redknapp has named Blackpool’s Charlie Adam as his ‘bronze medal winner in the Professional Footballers’ Association awards.<\/p>\n
Got to say the midfielder has impressed, his passing is at times sublime, not to mention his free-kick skills. He can take a penalty too, as we know.<\/p>\n
It’s a pity we didn’t sign him in January, his skills would certainly have come in handy of late. The question is, will Harry make another move for the 25-year-old in the summer?<\/p>\n
Redknapp said in his column in The Sun newspaper: “It is tough enough producing good football consistently when you’re at one of the top teams, surrounded by world-class players.<\/p>\n
“But it’s even more difficult when you are in a team in its first Premier League season with a tiny budget and small ground lacking the best facilities.<\/p>\n
“Adam has done this and has made a huge impact on this season.<\/p>\n
“And it is no surprise that Liverpool were interested in him.<\/p>\n
“I would have liked to have signed him in January but did not get any indication that we would be able to move at all until very late on deadline day.<\/p>\n
“The deal never happened and who knows if it ever will now?<\/p>\n
“But for sheer mental strength, leadership qualities and key goals then the Scot is right up there with the best of them this season.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
