Well I said there would be goals, and there sure were, sadly mostly for Blackpool.<\/p>\n
The game was one of those where after it finishes you’re baffled by how your team could lose it.<\/p>\n
Spurs were for the biggest part of the match in charge but Sebastien Bassong gives away a unnecessary penalty and we’re 1-0 down.<\/p>\n
A minute before half-time we’re 2-0 down thanks to an off-side DJ Campbell goal.<\/p>\n
Blackpool’s third was a gift after Benoit Assou-Ekotto nudged the ball into Brett Ormerod’s path for a tap in.<\/p>\n
Roman Pavlyuchenko managed to get a deflected consolation goal in injury time, but the game was over by then.<\/p>\n
It was a freakish game with silly mistakes. But the worst thing of all is that we had 26 shots on goal with only 6 on target.<\/p>\n
The loss was such a wasted opportunity to consolidate fourth position, we’re still fourth, but now Chelsea, who are two points behind, have a game in hand.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
