It is commonly mentioned that Spurs have not won a competitive trophy for over 16 years and Premier League title for even longer. This lack of success is a perennial complaint by Tottenham\u2019s loyal supporters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2022\/23 season saw Spurs finish in 8th place, which was something of a disappointment. Their performances in the both European and domestic cup competitions was poor, and the close season saw a number of issues arise, including player transactions and managerial rumors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sale of their star striker, Harry Kane, to Bayern Munich for close to \u00a390 million last summer, was a hotly debated issue amongst Tottenham fans. That aside, there was still much anticipation for the 2023\/24 Premier League season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new manager, Ange Postecoglou, was appointed in June 2023, hoping to improve the prospects for Spurs in the forthcoming Premier League season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite a difficult season in 2022\/23, the appointment of a highly rated new manager and a squad of equally highly rated players, has ensured 2023\/24 is likely to be a much-improved campaign for Spurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can Spurs Win the Premier League Title?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Tottenham Hotspur currently sit 5th<\/sup> in the Premier League, having just passed the half-way stage of the season. Only six points separate Spurs from the current Premier League leaders, Liverpool. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spurs are three points ahead of West Ham United so the battle for the Premier League title will be close and hard-fought.
Because of the recent income received from player sales, Tottenham are expected to be very active in the January transfer window, which closes on 31st<\/sup> January. They have already signed Timo Werner from RB Leipzig, whose arrival has been a subject of much discussion amongst commentators and fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tottenham will require a football squad of the highest level in order to compete successfully, during the remaining fixtures.  The Premier League is going to remain highly competitive over the course of the rest of the season, and it is clear that five or six clubs could all challenge for the title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spurs are certainly one of those teams at the top end of the table, having won 5 out of 6  of the last games.
