It was quite a surprise yesterday to hear that Hossam Ghaly’s move to Birmingham City was off. It was pretty much done apart from the Egyptian obtaining a work permit, however, it seems due to a reported training ground bust-up, the midfielder is back at Tottenham.<\/p>\n
According to The Sun newspaper, the 25-year-old didn’t like Birmingham’s endurance running, saying: “We don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t do running at Tottenham,” which didn’t particularly please City’s manager Steve Bruce, who reportedly replied: “You mean Tottenham reserves?”<\/p>\n
So they’ve cancelled the deal and he could be back in a Spurs shirt this coming season.<\/p>\n
I don’t think he’s a bad player, but his actions in May will never be forgotten, so fingers crossed he’ll find another club – one that doesn’t do endurance running!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
