In the summer of 2013, the transfer window rocked as Gareth transferred from Tottenham to Real Madrid in a deal worth around £86 million.

In the aftermath, Spurs went on a spending spree bringing in
seven players, but only one remains at the club – Erik Lamela. So, where are
the other six today?

Christian Eriksen

Without a doubt, Eriksen was the biggest success brought
into Tottenham over that window and arguably the best signing the club have made
over the last ten years.

Over 300 appearances followed for Spurs including 51 Premier
League goals with Eriksen often playing the lead role from midfield.

With his contract up at Tottenham this summer, Eriksen was
sold to Inter Milan this transfer window.

Roberto Soldado

Its thanks to Roberto Soldado that Harry Kane got his big break
at Spurs. Brought in for £26 million from Valencia after scoring 59 goals in 101
La Liga games, Soldado was supposed to take the Premier League by storm.

It didn’t work out that way and just seven Premier League
goals in 52 appearances led to Tottenham selling him to Villarreal two years
later.

Now, Soldado is plying his trade at Granada.

Etienne Capoue

Defensive midfielder Etienne Capoue was brought in from
Toulouse after impressing at the French outfit.

The French international struggled to make an impact at
White Hart Lane and left the club for Watford in 2015.

Things improved for Capoue though, who was voted Watford’s
player of the season for the 2018/19 campaign and is a regular at Vicarage Road
still today.

Vlad Chiriches

During his debut season at Spurs, Vlad Chiriches played exemplary
although as a backup. However, when Mauricio Pochettino took over as boss, the
Romanian’s time was up as he barely got a look in.

Today, the 30-year-old is on loan at Serie A outfit Sassuolo
from his parent club Napoli.

Paulinho

Much was expected of Paulinho when he came to the club from
Brazilian giants Corinthians.

He showed flashes of brilliance and often calamity errors
leaving Spurs fans frustrated.

He left Tottenham for Chinese outfit Guangzhou Evergrande
before Barcelona swooped in to take him for a season.

He performed well scoring 9 goals in 34 La Liga appearances
before heading back to Guangzhou which is where he is today.

Nacer Chadli

Attacking midfielder Nacer Chadli was by no means a flop but
he hardly set the world alight either after arriving from FC Twente.

88 games and 15 goals in the Premier League is not a bad
return but the Belgian soon found himself at West Bromwich Albion.

An impressive season with the Baggies followed before moving
to Monaco.

Today, the 30-year-old is currently on loan at Anderlecht.

In the summer of 2013, the transfer window rocked as Gareth transferred from Tottenham to Real Madrid in a deal worth around £86 million.
