Sunday sees Premier League champions Manchester City come to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with Jose Mourinho and his Lilywhites with a rare opportunity to prove they have what it takes to still mix it with the big boys and contend for a top spot.

There is reason though for Spurs fans to be optimistic too as we look at the need to know stats ahead of this crunch Premier League clash.

The pair met early on in the season at the Etihad and the
signs were promising. Goals from Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura cancelled out
Sterling and Aguero strikes for the citizens for a very useful 2-2 draw.

That was the first meeting since Tottenham dumped Guardiola’s
men out of the Champions League on away goals back in April.

However, prior to that, Tottenham’s last Premier League win
over the Citizen’s came October 2016 in a comfortable 2-0 win.

Overall, Tottenham have claimed 61 wins over Manchester City
with the Citizens winning 63 and a total of 36 draws.

Unsurprisingly, Manchester City come into the game on a far
better run of form than Spurs. The Citizens have won four of their last five
Premier League games drawing the other.

By contrast, Tottenham have won only one of their last five in
the league although that win did come in Mourinho’s last outing against Norwich
City.

Enjoy the game!

Sunday sees Premier League champions Manchester City come to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with Jose Mourinho and his Lilywhites with a rare opportunity to prove […]

[191
103,185
post-1535","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-premier-league","tag-manchester-city","tag-premier-league

Head to head
