Saturday sees Mauricio Pochettino welcome the club he guided for 18 months to the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Yes, it is time for the Mauricio Pochettino derby as Southampton
come to town and if ever Poch needed three points, it is now.

A shocking defeat to Colchester in the EFL Cup mid-week has
left many believing the Argentine manager is getting tired of his time in North
London.

However, that may just be the doom mongers as three-points
would quickly change many people’s opinions – and there is every reason to believe
the win is on the cards.

The Lilywhites may have taken some pain against the Saints
the last time they met in the Premier League in March suffering a 2-1 defeat at
the St Mary’s Stadium in March.

However, as Spurs were in the midst of a Champions League
battle, that result was hardly a shock and the head to head aside from that
sways in favour of the North Londoners.

Tottenham have won ten of the last fourteen meetings between
the two recording two wins in the process.

Spurs have also won the last three games on home soil
against the Saints and a total of 81 wins to Southampton’s 63 in all competitions.

Southampton have been on the decline for a number of years
prior to Ralph Hasenhüttl taking over last season.

However, even this season, the Saints are finding life tough
collecting just seven points for their seven league games this season.

Life has not been much better for Tottenham having recorded
just two wins from their six games so far including that embarrassing loss to
Colchester in the EFL Cup and a disappointing draw with Olympiakos in the
Champions League.

We have to back the Lilywhites in this one even though the
home side have only won two of eight games in all competitions this season.

Southampton are a side that try to play football and that
will suit Tottenham as they cut them open more often than not and get back to
their scoring best with a 3-1 victory.

Saturday sees Mauricio Pochettino welcome the club he guided for 18 months to the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
