A new Premier League season is just around the corner and with\nthree weeks of this current transfer window remaining, the race is on for the\nlikes of Mauricio Pochettino and Dean Smith to conclude their summer business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These two men will be squaring off on the opening weekend\nand on the face of it, it\u2019s fair to say that the latter has been more\nsuccessful in the transfer market. However, that does come with the rationale,\nthat Aston Villa arguably have had the more work to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That\u2019s because after gaining promotion via the Championship\nplay-off final, the work almost started straight away for the West Midlands\noutfit, as they looked to build a squad that was ready to compete in the\nPremier League.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the same time that\u2019s not to say that Tottenham have not\nbeen active this summer and although Jack Clarke has been loaned back to Leeds\nUnited for the season, there has been much heralding in regard to the arrival\nof French international Tanguy Ndombele.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His signature has meant Tottenham breaking their club record\ntransfer fee in order to land the former Lyon midfielder and much will be\nexpected of the 22-year-old, especially as he was chased by a number of\nEurope\u2019s biggest clubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ndombele will slot into the central midfield with compatriot\nMoussa Sissoko, as Tottenham look for a French connection in the centre of the\npark, something that along with their nine teammates could take shape like\nthis:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
