It has been a successful season\nthus far for the pride of North London. The club has produced some memorable games\nand they are still holding a spot in the last 8 of Champions League, even after\nsome highly difficult circumstances. Injuries to key players and the talk of\nthe future of Mauricio Pochettino threaten to derail the clubs form, but they\nhave been holding steady.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The competition for the clubs\nplayer of the season could be a battle between numerous stars. There hasn\u2019t\nbeen one stand out player throughout the season, with the best results of the\nseason often being the result of differing stand-out performers. Harry Kane was\nat his best during the famous away win with against Borussia Dortmund, while\nSon was the star of the show in essential wins against Newcastle and\nBournemouth. But, who will win the accolade at the end of the season awards?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harry Kane<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Spurs forward has enjoyed yet another stellar year, and\nthe club is extremely fortunate to boast one of the best attackers in world\nfootball. His calmness in the Champions League against Dortmund sealed the\nfinal nail in the German\u2019s coffin and ensured a first quarter-final in the\ncompetition since the Harry Redknapp era. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

His World Cup golden boot win has ensured that the England\ncaptain is now talked about in the same breath as Lionel Messi and Cristiano\nRonaldo, and that has allowed him to flourish. He is among the leading scorers\nin the Champions League, while he is also battling for the domestic\ngolden boot<\/a>. Despite missing seven games through injury, he has quickly\nreturned to form and back among the goals. Few would wager against the talisman\nbeing named the clubs player of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whereas some of the club\u2019s starlets, such as Christian\nEriksen and Dele Ali have been missing on the big occasions this season, Kane\nhas stepped up, never shying away from the responsibility of playing for Spurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Son Heung-min<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The South Korean international has enjoyed another excellent\nseason for Spurs and is now receiving the credit that should be guaranteed.\nBefore this season Son went under the radar and was very rarely spoken about\nwithin the top players in the league; however that has changed this season. He\nhas once against found the net more than ten times; despite playing fewer games\ndue to international commitments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He played a starring role for his national side during their\nAsian Games success, in which Son ensured that he no longer has to fulfil the\nmandatory military service that comes with being a citizen in South\nKorea<\/a>. The player’s commitment to the club can\u2019t be underestimated as he\nrushed back from the Asian Cup in January to help out the squad for their game\nagainst Newcastle United at Wembley as the injuries began to mount. Just three\ndays after playing in Dubai for his national side, he was starring, and scoring\nthe winner in the Premier League.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Son\u2019s ability to use both feet makes him a star player for\nthe team that can operate wide or centrally, \u2018holding his\nhorses\u2019<\/a> and not rushing when going through on goal is up there with the\nbest in the world. His input to the team this year has been vital, and that\nshouldn\u2019t be forgotten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harry Winks<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another England international that has come to the forefront\nthis season and the coaches will be thrilled with his progression into a\nfirst-team regular. Winks has continuously been smart with the ball in the\ngames where players of a similar age would struggle. He has been vital to\nSpurs, and his partnership with Moussa Sissoko has surprised but has been a\nwelcome bonus to the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winks went on to make two consecutive England appearances\nthis season and was a star player in the country\u2019s famous win against Spain.\nLater in the season, he scored the winner in a vital game against Fulham; his\nfirst goal for his boyhood side. If he can continue to progress at the rate he\nhas this season, he\nwill be a star<\/a>. Winks should be talked about as one of the best players this\nseason for Spurs, and his absence is recognisable; something which is\nundoubtedly a big compliment to the 23-year-old.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
