If ever there was a time to playing Arsenal, this is not it.

Back to back Premier League defeats has ended Tottenham’s
hopes of the title with the side drawing criticism from all corners of the footballing
fraternity.

In hindsight, the pressure those defeats to Burnley and
Chelsea has down dumbed down the importance of this North London derby even
though a top four spot for both sides remains the goals for the season.

Tottenham need to bounce back and make their fans believe
again so will it be a walk in the park for Spurs or should we be a little
worried as Unai Emery’s Arsenal make the trip across town to Wembley?

Form

It may be better to gloss over this section quickly as form
is not good for Tottenham as mentioned above.

That 3-0 demolition of Borussia Dortmund now seems like a
long time ago and the return of Harry Kane has not yet yielded the results we
were all hoping for.

The same cannot be said of rivals Arsenal who are in the
process of a transition phase. As much as it pains us to say, to even have the
Gunners in contention for a top four spot is a fine achievement and the club
come into the game off the back of a 5-1 thumping of Bournemouth and a 2-0 comfortable
win over Southampton.

Head to Head

The North London derby is one of the most contested matches
in the Premier League era and the recent home record for Tottenham over the Gunners
is quite good.

Not since March 2014 has Spurs lost at home in the Premier League
to the Arsenal although the Gunners did record a 2-1 victory in the League Cup
at White Hart Lane in 2015.

This will be the third meeting between the two this season (both
at the Emirates) with Arsenal winning a topsy turvy clash 4-2 in the league in
December and Tottenham famously gaining revenge two weeks later in the League
Cup with a 2-0 win.

Prediction

Well we have to go for a Tottenham win don’t we!! Although
form has not been good, now is the time bounce back and show the Lilywhite
faithful that the season will not fade out like in previous seasons.

We are going for a 2-1 Spurs win with Kane to get on the
scoresheet and generate that feel good factor ahead of the second leg Champions
League clash with Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.

If ever there was a time to playing Arsenal, this is not it.
