I’m not sure what to think if we were interested in the Real Madrid midfielder. He’d cost a heck of a lot in terms of wages, and with that in mind, would he be able to justify such high wages?<\/p>\n
I think if he joined he’d be very influential at the club with all his experience, something of a role that Edgar Davids has. Question is where would he play? I could possibly see him replacing Jermaine Jenas in a central miidfield role. But is he good enough there? On the right wing, I don’t think he contributes enough there, and with Aaron Lennon, there’s no role for him there. So it would be a curious move if it did in fact happen.<\/p>\n
