Unlike Tim Sherwood, I do have faith in what Terry Venables says, and in today’s Sun newspaper he’s tipping us for 5th position in the Premiership.
He said: “I’ve been very impressed by Tottenham and the way they have gone about their business. The £40million has been spent wisely and Darren Bent reminds me of Gary Lineker in his prime. I’d love the problem of picking between their four strikers. Gareth Bale and Younes Kaboul are top defenders as well.”
I think 5th would be a respectable place to finish, however, we need to improve on previous seasons. I suppose if we finished fifth and had silverware to show for it, then I wouldn’t grumble, however, with the amount of money spent this summer, we’ve got to progress.
