We may not know when/if the season will resume and there are certainly more important things to worry about right now, however, despite the lack of football, one thing never changes and that is the transfer rumour merry-go-round.
So, who are the players Spurs are currently being linked with even if they may only be relatively vague right now.
Samuel Umtiti
It now looks all but certain that Jan Vertonghen will leave in the summer when his contract expires after rejecting a one-year contract extension which will leave a big hole in the Lilywhites defence.
The man to replace him could prove to be Barcelona man Samuel Umtiti but only if current Spurs midfielder Tanguy Ndombele goes the other way as the Catalan giants look to add some steel into the centre of the park.
This one is more than a possibility especially as Jose Mourinho has openly criticised Ndombele’s performances in a Tottenham shirt.
Todd Cantwell
Norwich midfielder has shone for the Canaries this season and rightly caught the eye of many suitors including Tottenham.
Six goals in 28 games before the season was suspended has had many claiming the 22-year-old is ‘better than Grealish’ (another player Tottenham are consistently linked with.
Reports suggests the Lilywhites have made contact with Norwich regarding signing the midfielder although everything appears to be up in the air right now.
However, it is believed that the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City are also monitoring Cantwell’s situation closely and an English transfer dogfight may begin when the season resumes.
Raul Jimenez
Wolves striker Raul Jimenez has become something of the complete player this season as Wolves continue to show their class is permanent.
With uncertainty surrounding Harry Kane’s future, many believe Jimenez would be an ideal fit in North London and has the attributes to lead the line for the Lilywhites after impressing in the midlands.
