Tottenham Hotspur 1-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Tottenham Hotspur may have been a little lacklustre, but should really have beaten Wolverhampton Wanderers with the chances they had.

Wolves’ goal came from a corner, their only corner of the game. What made it worse was Spurs were again on the end of a bad refereeing decision, as Wolves should never have had a corner due to the ball coming off of a Wolves player.

Luka Modric had quite a few efforts at goal before scoring with a well hit shot from outside the area.

Gareth Bale had a decent game and got an assist on the goal for Modric with a short pass. The Welshman had a few shots, but mostly fired over the ball.

One effort did look on goal, but was tapped in by Emmanuel Adebayor. Unfortunately the on-loan striker was wrongly ruled off.

Very late on in the game Bale took a free-kick, he shot over again, he used to be such a threat from free-kicks, but I’m not sure why he now struggles.

Anyhow, Spurs missed the chance to go level on points with Manchester City, but hopefully can catch up next week when they visit City.
