The newspaper talk surrounding the future of Spurs manager Martin Jol continues today.
The Sun are reporting that Jol and chairman Daniel Levy had ‘an amazing row’ as the Dutchman wanted to sell Dimitar Berbatov.
Whether this is true or not, the idea of selling Berbatov is crazy. Sure we have Darren Bent now, but our squad would be seriously weakened if the Bulgarian was sold.
Coincidentally, it wouldn’t surprise me if Manchester United make a move for Berbatov. They’ve had a poor start to the season, and with Rooney and Ronaldo out, they’re lacking a goalscoring striker. Of course, let’s hope this doesn’t happen!
Back to Jol – if he is to go, then it would be appreciated if the club would make an official statement, as all this paper talk and no word from the club is very annoying!
