The transfer window is open and so there’s always talk of a Gareth Bale transfer, this time to Manchester City.
Big spending City have, according to The Mirror, enquired about the Welsh international, and were reportedly willing to pay £50million to activate a clause in Bale’s contract, however, there’s no clause says Gareth’s representatives the Stellar Group.
According to the newspaper, City would have to pay Tottenham Hotspur a staggering £150million for the winger’s services, which would be a world record fee paid for a player.
Spurs today, coincidentally, play at Manchester City, and it isn’t coincidental at all that Bale’s team-mate Luka Modric was also linked with a move today to Manchester, this time to United. The media aren’t at all trying to unsettle players before a big game, are they?
