After the drama last weekend, Spurs striker Jermain Defoe says he’s learnt from the incident with West Ham midfielder Javier Mascherano.
Defoe said: “It was in the heat of the moment. I need to move forward, it definitely won’t happen again.
“I didn’t do much, but it was out of character. I don’t usually get involved like that.”
He added: “I just want to play football and score goals, everybody knows that.
“I am a professional person and a passionate player. When I get on the pitch I just want to win every game.”
Perhaps as an apology, Jermain should take the Argentinian out for a ‘bite’ to eat! 🙂
