A report in the Daily Mail claims Barcelona are only willing to pay £16.5m for Gareth Bale and are now looking elsewhere for a winger. Apparently the Spanish club’s new target is Valencia’s Jordi Alba.
Supposedly Bale’s club Tottenham Hotspur are looking for £40m for the Welshman, which seems an odd figure, as that would be a similar price they rejected in January for Gareth’s team-mate Luka Modric, who hasn’t had such an impressive season.
The report also claims interest in Bale from Italian giants AC Milan.
