Gareth Bale may not be making an appearance with Wales at this year’s European Championship, however, he could be starring at the London 2012 Olympics for Great Britain.
Reports say that GB national manager Stuart Pearce has included the Welshman in a shortlist of eighty players. Also included on the list is fellow Welshman Craig Bellamy.
One big name in the list is none-other than former England star David Beckham, who at 36, plays in the US for LA Galaxy.
Pearce will be reducing the shortlist down to a squad of just eighteen.
Whether Gareth will be included, we’ll find out in May when the squad is officially announced.
