After appearing in Scotland’s 3-0 win over Northern Ireland on February 9th, one could have thought Alan Hutton had been abducted by aliens by his sudden disappearance. Thankfully today though, there is word of his existence on planet earth.
Spurs manager Harry Redknapp revealed: “Alan had a groin strain, but he’s fit now. I changed it after Fulham; I brought [Vedran] Corluka back in and we went and won four games on the spin, went to Milan and won.
“But that’s football: now Charlie [Corluka] is injured, so Alan’s got a chance to get back in the team.”
I must admit I quite like Hutton, his runs down the right can sometimes add that little something extra when we’re struggling to break down teams.
I know he’s not the best defender, and can make the odd mistake, but let’s face it, he has improved so much this season and deserves credit for that.
