Despite drawing 0-0 at Watford, I think we deserved the draw. Aaron Lennon had many chances, but their ‘keeper Ben Foster was in fine form to keep the youngster at bay. They did have some very chances though: Tommy Smith’s glaring miss in front of goal and Ashley Young’s goal which was wrongly ruled off side.
Admittedly I was disappointed to see no Mido and Defoe starting, I know we have Club Brugge in the UEFA Cup on Thursday, but we need players who are scoring goals, sadly, they’re in short supply at the moment.
In other news, Calum Davenport is out for a few weeks with a groin injury.
Spurs manager Martin Jol told the club’s official site: “We had to rest Calum this weekend and he will probably be out for the next two weeks.”
I hope he makes a speedy recovery, especially with Ledley King playing so many matches after recovery from his knee problem.
