Middlesbrough 2-3 Tottenham Hotspur

It amazes me that one half we can control a game but in the second half we can’t. I know opposition teams make substitutions and tactial changes, but surely we should be able to adapt?

Today Berbatov and Robbie Keane linked up wonderfully for the opening goal. They do seem a great partnership.

The second goal was amazing. Berbatov with a fantastic volley from outside the penalty area.

The tide turned in ‘Boro’s favour after bringing on Julio Arca, and soon followed a headed goal from Mark Viduka.

Robinson then went on to make some great saves to prevent ‘Boro from equalising.

Spurs though managed to get a third after Lennon broke down the right, he crossed for Robbie to slam home.

Of course, Spurs being Spurs, we have to make it an edgy finish. ‘Boro got their second through a deflected header from defender Pogatetz.

Thankfully we managed to clinch the win, but why do we have to make it so difficult for ourselves? ‘Boro weren’t at the races in the first half and we should have put the game beyond them by half time.
